CAPACITY DEVELOPMENT & TRAINING

With an ever-growing demand for building knowledge and skills in regional and continental integration, particularly, in this new era of the African Continental Free Trade (AfCFTA), CRIA’s capacity building and training programme seeks to build much needed capacity for effective management and inclusive engagement in processes of regionalism in Africa.

Beneficiaries of CRIA’s capacity building and training programmes include interested individuals, and those who work in pan-African and regional institutions (e.g AU, RECs, etc.), the diplomatic corps, civil services, judiciaries, parliaments, trade unions and professional associations, business sector, media, academic institutions, civil society organisations, security and intelligence agencies, development agencies, among others.

1. Online Academic Programmes

CRIA offers opportunities to professionalise and develop future careers of Africans with specialisation in a field where the employment possibilities are very high for qualified persons and stakeholders with the requisite technical and analytical skills to effectively plan, implement, monitor and evaluate regional integration policies, strategies, programmes, and projects.

In partnership with the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), CRIA’s academic programmes are online, with carefully structured evening classes to suit the busy schedules of today’s participants.

 

Programmes include

  • 1-year Executive Master of Arts in Regional Integration and African Development (EMRIAD).
  • 2-year Master of Arts in Regional Integration and African Development (MRIAD).

Admission Requirements

  • A good bachelor’s degree (a second class lower or better) or equivalent professional qualification from recognized professional institution;
  • A 3rd Class and any Post Certificate with 5 years work experience or Diploma and a minimum of 10 years work experience.

2. Training Workshops

CRIA offers virtual and face-to-face, non-academic, customised, demand-based, short-courses to build knowledge and upgrade skills in regional and continental integration. Through the Certificate in Regional Integration in Africa Development (CRIAD) programme, the Centre works with prospective groups to determine capacity needs and to design courses that would strengthen their respective engagement in African integration processes.
